For Palm i705 |

Step: 1
Make sure the Palm is off. Using the included wrench remove the four screws from the case. Then, using the included flat head screwdriver pry open the Palm i705 case, starting at the bottom. |

Step: 2
Continue prying the case towards the corners until the full length of the case pops open. Do not push the screwdriver too deep, it may damage the circuit. |

Step: 3
Using the screwdriver, remove the black motion device from the case. |

Step: 4
Disconnect the battery connector by gently pulling the black and red ribbon cable away from the socket. |

Step: 5
Lift the green motherboard...the battery should be underneath. Detach the orange data cable by gently pulling it away from the motherboard. The motherboard should now be free of the case. |

Step: 6
Using the flat head screwdriver unglue the old battery from the case cover. Apply the new battery on the case within the guide brackets. The battery should stick to the original glue spots. Please pay attention to have the original orientation (connector towards the left of the Palm). |

Step: 7
Re-attach the orange data cable by placing it over the socket. Gently press the cable towards the motherboard and the cable should connect. Snap the motherboard back into its guides. |

Step: 8
Connect the black and red cable by positioning it inside the socket on the motherboard, pushing it in.

Step: 9
Place the black motion device back into its plastic housing. Make sure that the metal prongs on the motion device are touching the metal contacts on the motherboard
Snap on the cover and put back the single screw.
Your new battery will need a minimum of three hours of charging before first use. |
