Step: 1
Using the included screwdriver, remove the five screws from the PDA case. |

Step: 2
Using the included screwdriver, remove the three screw from the PDA scroll wheel cover. |

Step: 3
Once the screws are removed, use your finger to carefully lift and remove the scroll wheel cover and the back case from the rest of the PDA. |

Step: 4
Using the included screwdriver, remove the two screws form the motherboard. Remove these screws will give you access to the battery. |

Step: 5
Using your finger, list the piece of the black tape covering the ribbon cable and power cable connections. |

Step: 6
Disconnect the black and red battery power cable by carefully pulling the connector away from its socket. Disconnect the ribbon cable by popping off the ribbon connector clamp. You can remove this clamp by carefully lifting it upwards. The ribbon cable can now be easily removed from this socket. |

Step: 7
Carefully lift the green motherboard just enough to allow you to remove the battery. The battery should connected by a small amount of glue. You can use the tip of a screwdriver to work the battery away from glue.
To insert the new battery, line-up the power cable connector with power socket. Use the your finger to push the connector into the socket. Apply the new battery on the case within the guide brackets. The battery should stick to the original glue spots. Please pay attention to have original orientation (connector towards the bottom of the Clie).
Snap on the battery compartment cover and put back the four screws,
Your new battery will need a minimum of three hours of charging before first use. |
